System Center 2012 Configuration Manager R2 Upgrade: Notes from the Field-Updated

  1. Thank you so much for this post 🙂

We had the client on a MP issue as well as the SQL reporting services issue. Or SQL server is running SQL Server 2012, so the command is changed to:

    mofcomp “C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Shared\sqlmgmproviderxpsp2up.mof”
    source: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-ca/library/gg724129.aspx

Also, it may be prudent to run this command to update all of the reports to the latest and greatest with this command:

HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\SMS\SRSRP\SRSInitializeState to 0 and then wait for the reports to redeploy (watch the SRSRP.log) source: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/ae08aa43-054d-47e7-99fb-c4f101962478/reports-not-working-after-upgrade-to-sccm-2012-r2-?forum=configmanagergeneral

We also found that any reports that we copied and customized will need to be edited as they probably contain deprecated functions 🙁
